As many of you may know, we made a trip to Los Angeles and made excellent progress. First, some background.
For those who visit the wonderful http://www.moosechick.com/ you may know that the last few seasons of No Ex were produced under a bit of a legal cloud. A former Universal producer named Sandy Veith sued Universal claiming that No Ex was too similar to a show he proposed called Colletta. Ultimately a jury agreed and awarded a significant monetary judgment. All appeals were exhausted a few years after No Ex went off the air.
This created questions and possible problems for any episodes produced later.
Thanks to your kind support, we hired a top California Entertainment Attorney very familiar with that case. His work has removed all obstacles and we are now clear to move forward with Universal Television.
Our strategy is to approach Universal with a full package: story, script, cast commitment, crew commitment and budget. We have shifted, due to the economies of scale, from one two hour episode to 10 one-hour episodes. The goal will be a network, cable or streaming venue.
More news as this develops. Sho far, so good...

It's been a while since the last update. We are in the phase where things seem to move at a snails pace.
You may have heard we have our story from writer David Assael. We are extremely pleased with the story, and it will provide the basis for, hopefully, 10 new episodes of Northern Exposure.
We have been working up budgets and timelines. We have made a tentative agreement with the city that doubles as Cicely. We have located possible studio space in the Seattle area.
We have meetings scheduled through the month of August, and are working towards a starting date of September 15.
Remember, nothing is certain yet. To that end, for the 429 of you who are looking for your t-shirts, patience is a virtue. As you may remember what the shirt will say depends on whether we are successful in making more Northern Exposure episodes. This would be the difference between the shirt saying "The Moose is Back thanks to Me (and a few thousand close personal friends)" and "The Moose was nearly Back thanks to Me (and a few thousand close personal friends)"
Please do keep our efforts in your thoughts and prayers. We are giving this our complete attention and want this even more than you do!

It is, for the moment, a waiting game. New players are involved, new creative is being developed.
As that is finished and reactions assessed, we will let you know as we know just how things are moving.
There is no doubt in our minds the reboot will happen. What form it takes and how the mystery unfolds will be an interesting story in and of itself...

Wygląda na to że jest blisko rebootu ale wciąż nie wiadomo jaką ostatecznie przybierze to formę. Ja szczerze mówiąc trochę drżę o całą tą reaktywację.

Troche poczytalem na ten temat i raczej cienko to widze. Tam sa jakies problemy z Universalem ktory ma prawa do serialu. Aktorzy chetni, czas tez dobry, bo sporo seriali powraca, ale to moze trwac i trwac, a aktorzy mlodsi sie nie robia. Zwlaszcza Corbin i Cullum. Na pewno pomysl przedni, ale bez wsparcia porzadnej wytworni, solidnych producentow bedzie ciezko.

Zgadzam się niemal w pełni. Nie pamiętam gdzie o tym czytałem ale pewnie gdzieś na blogu serialu, że kwestie z Universal Studios zostały rozwiązane. Natomiast wiek niektórych aktorów, kwestie finansowe to mogą być trudne przeszkody. Mam też mieszane odczucia co do samego pomysłu kontynuacji (chociaż Burrows uparcie twierdzi że klimat pozostanie ten sam.) Co natomiast jest fajne to, to że dzisiaj sedno, cała ideologia Alaski byłaby o wiele bardziej aktualna i uderzająca niż w latach 90-tych. Slow life!

Tak naprawde jedno mnie uderzylo. Morrow chyba rozumie ze zrobil blad odchodzac z serialu skoro bierze udzial w spotkaniach itp. Co do scenarzysty to akurat odcinki swietne. Natomiast obsada- Corbin (Minnifield) to osoba ktora kradla show Morrowowi i jego obecnosc jest niezbedna. Zawsze mu mozna dolozyc koreanskiego Mini Morrisa do pomocy.

Wczoraj słuchałem wywiadu z Robem Morrowem z amerykańskiej radiostacji. Wywiad głównie dotyczył kariery muzycznej aktora ale w końcu dotknął tematu kontynuacji "Przystanku Alaska". Aktor powiedział, że po śmierci jednego ze współtwórców serialu wszystko się skomplikowało. Projekt utknął w martwym punkcie, mają nową osobę od scenariusza ale on sam nie wie na jakim etapie jest ten projekt i dziwi się, bo w dobie tylu rebootów akurat "Alaska" stoi w miejscu. Rob Morrow dodał jeszcze, że płyta jaką nagrał ze swoim zespołem miała być wydana właśnie w tym samym czasie co nowy sezon serialu ale teraz wszystko się skomplikowało i nie wie co robić.

Szczerze mówiąc, chyba lepiej żeby porzucili ten cały projekt. To chyba naprawdę nie ma sensu. Zakończenie było jakie było, mogło być gorzej.
